Dubuque high school juniors being offered free ACT prep course
DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) -The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque is offering a free ACT preparation course to high school juniors.
The program is an initiative put together by the foundation’s Dubuque College Access Network.
The idea is to offer free test preparation to around 28 students who wouldn’t be able to afford otherwise. Students who qualify will receive access to a full curriculum from Doorway to College, including a workbook and web-based course.
“They are our future leaders and we want to see everyone have an equitable opportunity to consider a secondary path that will bring them throughout their lifetime earning power, good health and involvement in their community,” said Donna Loewen, DCAN Coordinator.
The Dubuque Community School District is offering all juniors the opportunity to take the ACT on March 3rd.
